Since studying music at school, where she was section leader in her orchestra playing the flute, being a member of the choir with which she performed in a number of locations including France and taking part in school productions, Catherine has been a keen musician.
Since leaving school Catherine has sung at the Elizabethan Banquets at Lumley Castle over a period of 10yrs.
Catherine’s very first appearance with the Society was back in 1989 when she participated in the Children’s Chorus of Aladdin. She came back to DMTC in 2003 for our production of My Fair Lady and has since appeared in most of our subsequent productions at Gala.
In November 2005 she starred in the role of Audrey in South Shields Musical Productions performance of Little Shop of Horrors. Following this she was seen as Kate Murphy in our production of Titanic, and Liane d’Exelmans in Gigi.
Following a short break to travel to Australia, Catherine returned and took part in Hello Dolly.
After playing the part of Trude in Grand Hotel and Anytime Annie in 42nd Street, Catherine is excited to be part of a quintet and learning challenging choral works in Sweeney Todd.
