“Faithful, determined, foreboding.”
What do you enjoy most about playing Hotep?
“I’ve never played a part quite like Hotep! He’s a very interesting character: whilst he does some really DARK stuff, he truly believes that he is acting in the best interests of his people and his country. The Gods were an enormous part of Ancient Egyptian civilisation and, as always, it’s fun stepping in to a completely different person’s shoes and world and viewing it from their perspective. Plus, putting on a show is teamwork and I am loving being part of a great team.”
If Hotep had a Spotify playlist, what song would definitely be on it?
“Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. Hotep loves singing along to the “Ra Ra” bit.”
Why should people come see this show?
“Because it will be an absolute epic. It is an incredibly moving story with amazing music that will give you goosebumps. In this chaotic world we could all do with a bit of escapism and hope, and we will deliver that. Also everyone else in it is brilliant and they deserve those seats to be filled.”
