During my time with DMTC I have had the opportunity of playing some memorable characters, such as Rudolph Reisenweber, the head waiter in ‘Hello Dolly‘ and Mordcha in ‘Fiddler on the Roof‘. Mr Lorry being another memorable figure from the Dickens classic novel ‘A Tale Of Two Cities‘.
Mr Lorry is a solitary batchelor who has dedicated his life to Telson’s Bank in London. Through a cruel twist of fate Mr Lorry became the guardian of Dr Manette’s young daughter Lucie, who along with his housekeeper Miss Pross have raised the girl from childhood.
Mr Lorry becomes a surrogate father to Lucie during the incarceration of Dr Manette in the Bastille.
He is a very driven, loyal and caring gentleman although at times he does not wish to appear so as he is required to have the aire of a hard business man, particularly in his role as agent for Telsons bank.
