Rachel is a leading soprano with Northern Opera and an established concert performer in the North East.
Her oratorio performances have included Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Haydn’s Creation, Mozart’s Requiem, Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Faure’s Requiem and works by Schubert and Maunder.
While in opera she has sung Violetta in La Traviata, Marguerite in Faust, Adina in L’Elisir D’Amore, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Oscar in Un Ballo Maschera and Adele in Die Fledermaus.
Rachel has performed in many theatrical and concert venues in the North East, and has given many charity performances, both locally and nationally. Rachel continues to study under the guidance of Clarice Stringer and has enjoyed singing with many male voice choirs in the North East as well as established concert/oratorio choral societies in the North East.
Having sung for the Sunderland Symphony Orchestra in a concert last November, Rachel was invited by Rupert Hanson to be guest soloist in the recent ‘Evening of Concert Classics‘ at the Sage in Gateshead.
In “Company” Rachel is playing the part of Jenny, a quietly manipulative woman married to David.
