Olly has been a stalwart member of DMTC since 1968 and has played many memorable roles including Tevye in “Fiddler on the Roof”, Aimable in “The Baker’s Wife”, the title role in “Pickwick”, Doolitle in “My Fair Lady”, Pellinore in “Camelot” and Parchester in “Me and My Girl”.
Most recently he played Lazar Wolf in our latest production of “Fiddler on the Roof”.
Olly has also acted as Musical Director for many of the Society’s pantomimes.
He is well known for his many masterful comic Gilbert and Sullivan characterisations and he is a noted artist.
“For some years he has been a professional illustrator of books and magazines and is currently preparing a major exhibition in the Cathedral in March 2011.
Olly’s one-man show “Comedy in Song” has been performed in cabaret to many organisations in the north to popular acclaim.
Having been a Guide in Durham Cathedral for some 20 years his illustrated , and humorous, talks on “Monuments and coats of arms” and “Stained Glass” have been much in demand.
