Matthew is 18 years old and is completing his A-level studies. He started dancing at the age of 4 with the Kathleen Knox School of Dance.
He has studied all theatre dance branches and has been performing on stage from a very young age. He has performed many roles with other local societies including Prince Chulalongkorn and Louis Leonowens in two different productions of “The King and I”, as well as the Artful Dodger in “Oliver!”
He also regularly performs in dance shows and competitions. At Sunderland Empire Theatre he played one of the children in the professional tour of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”.
Matthew has been a guest dancer with DMTC in their two recent productions; “Hello, Dolly!” and “Grand Hotel”, but this year he is excited to be joining the company to play the part of Billy Lawlor in this production of “42nd Street”.
This role is another step in his ambition of pursuing a degree in musical theatre and dance at one of the London stage schools, leading ultimately to a career on stage. Matthew is thrilled to be a part of this production.
