Synopsis
The show is not only a satire of big business, but also of TV quiz games and the American Dream. Much of the music is a parody of songs to be found in any typical musical score. The show has a refreshing lack of syrup – it has bite, but it also has charm.
Our hero is J. Pierrepont Finch, a window cleaner, who by reading the book “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” is able to rise to the top of the Company. He follows the basic philosophy of the handbook, which is – the way to climb the ladder to success is to saw the rungs off any similar ladder your rival is trying to climb!
