Delia McNally

Delia has performed with DMTC since 1991, when she played Joanna in Stephen Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd”. Many other lead roles followed including Maria in “The Sound of Music”, Marion Paroo in “The Music Man”, Rosemary in “How to Succeed Without Really Trying”, Cinderella in “Into the Woods”, the title role in “The Baker’s Wife” and the younger Belle Poitrine in “Little Me”.

Delia has taken part in several of our pantomimes including, most notably, the title role in “Snow White”. Delia has also performed regularly with South Shields Musical Productions and Newcastle West End AOS performing amongst other roles Jane in “Salad Days”, the title role in “Gigi”, Carrie in “Carousel”, Nellie Forbush in “South Pacific” and Tracey Lord in “High Society”.

At GALA her roles have included Sally Smith in “Me and My Girl”, the high flying title role in “Peter Pan”, Eliza Doolittle in “My Fair Lady”, Guenevere in “Camelot”, Martha in “The Secret Garden”, Miss Adelaide in “Guys and Dolls”, Alice Beane in “Titanic”, Amy in “Company”, Mabel Normand in “Mack and Mabel”, Golde in “Fiddler on the Roof”, Dolly Levi in “Hello, Dolly!” and most recently as Domina in “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”.

Delia also sings a lot of concert and recital music. She made her debut with Northern Opera singing Siebel in “Faust”. She was a soloist in Rossini’s “Petite Messe Solenelle” and Brahms’ Alto Rhapsody. Delia is currently studying for her LRSM with Anne Ward.
