Rebecca Hassell

Rebecca first joined DMTC in 2012, where she joined the chorus for “Sweeney Todd” whilst studying at Durham Sixth Form. She stayed with us until after “Some Enchanted Evenings”, before she left to study Drama and Theatre Practice at the University of Hull.

Whilst at university, Rebecca helped out with many productions both on and off stage: from playing the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, to designing costumes and creating special effects make up for shows.

After moving back to Durham in early 2018, Rebecca returned to DMTC to take part in the chorus for our production of “Evita”, and is thrilled to have been cast as a chorus principal for “Chess”.
