Before the final performance of a show we always stop to thank those who have helped make it possible. During this years presentation we paid tribute to a long serving member of our props team, Melanie Spedding.
Mel has worked on props for countless productions over many years, though after Evita she is moving away from Durham to start a new adventure with her partner Michael. To recognise this occasion our chairman, Anthony Smith, presented Mel with a special long service award. And how very well deserved it is too!
Though fear not! Mel has promised that she will still make her expansive props skills available when needed. She even has a room booked with friends to help during show weeks. Mel’s prop making skills featured in our recent article – Spotlight on props.
