Nikki Hellmuth

Profile

Nikki joined DMTC in 2001 to play Lady Jacqueline in Me and My Girl. Since then she has been involved in most of DMTC’s productions either backstage or as a member of the chorus, returning to a principal role as Caroline Neville in Titanic.

Nikki also loves singing with Durham ‘Scratch’ Choir and the Cobweb Orchestra. She has enjoyed solo performances in Sell By, Lullabies for Grown-Ups, In Some Small Way, Carmina Burana and is indebted to their conductor/composer Andy Jackson for all his encouragement.

Nikki has participated in a number of events organised by 20,000 Voices, most notably a concert performance of Side by Side by Sondheim in which she sang the duet Barcelona. This gave Nikki another opportunity to study with mezzo-soprano Sally Burchell, with whom she has formed an invaluable mentorship.

As a real-life chocaholic, Nikki was delighted to be offered the part of Sarah in Company and is  thoroughly enjoying the physically challenging role.

She hopes to portray a strong, sexy lady; prompting empathy for Harry as he declares he is Sorry - Grateful...Regretful - Happy  to be married to her!
